  • Microblading

2hrs €450 broken down between both visits

WHO: Anyone from the age of 18 – 80!

If your brows are barely there due to over plucking, genetics or indeed menopausel hair loss, Microblading, which is also commonly referred to as Phi Brows may be the answer! In other cases, hair loss can be linked to illness or side effects to medication, which in some cases will require medical permission (see consultation)

    NB. MICROBLADING & CHEMOTHERAPY
In the case where you are expecting to lose your brows due to Chemotherapy or Radiation, it is imperative to contact me straight away! As these medications cause extreme skin sensitivities & impair healing, your brows will have to be done either in advance of beginning your treatment of a minimum of 6 month after completion. In this instance, I am contactable at anytime and offer treatment outside of regular working hours where necessary

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT TO ACHIEVE: Your brows literally frame your face!
The treatment results in the creation of hair like strokes by means of tiny incisions & skin friendly pigments which mimic natural brow hairs. A specific pattern customised to work with your own hair growth pattern, face shape, eye shape & bone structure will result in a very natural brow as soft or as defined as the client would like.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS: Rome wasn't built in a day!
The treatment is completed over 2 or more visits*, as the careful positioning and spacing of each stroke is the key to a long lasting natural finish. Approx 4-6 weeks is allowed between visits to ensure adequate healing and to assess the true healed finish, as your new brows will go through many different phases of healing between visits.
*A third treatment may be required in about 10% of cases which incurs an additional cost of €50

HOW LONG WILL THEY LAST: A touch-up will be required after approx 12-24months
During Microblading, the pigment is carefully placed under the most superficial layer of your skin therefore, as your skin cells renew themselves (exfoliation) the pigment will breakdown and your brows will start to lose their lustre & definition. A lot of factors will dictate how quick this might happen such as, those with oily skin, fast metabolism, active lifestyles, users of active skincare such as AHA's or retinols may need a top up sooner than a drier skin type or more sedentary lifestyle as their skins metabolism will be slower. Revisiting your brow design can be a great opportunity to adjust the shape slightly or colour to work with a change in your hair colour for example

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY BROWS: This is key!
You will be given precise aftercare for the 10 post treatment, as during this time the treated area is open to infection. Should you not adhere to this advice, your are risking infection in the area which will most likely result in your body rejecting the pigment ( not good!) Once they have healed, there are some long-term do's & don'ts including, avoiding direct sun exposure, avoiding exfoliating the area – all this will be explained at length during your consultation.

DOES IT HURT: Beauty knows no pain!! (Just kidding)
Some people will find the process more uncomfortable than others and in this instance, a topical numbing cream can be obtained from your Pharmacy and applied ahead of your scheduled appointment. Some feel this is just a Placebo but if it will help you relax during the treatment why not?

*As per all advanced treatments, a consultation & patch test is necessary in advance and it is your responsibility to declare at this time to Aileen any medical conditions or any medication you may be taking to ensure the decision to proceed is in your best interests.
